Mood disorders

  • Stephanie is aware of how difficult life can be when your mood makes it difficult to function effectively on a day to day basis. Stephanie has experience treating depressive disorders, including postnatal depression.

Eating disorders

  • Stephanie combined her research interests with clinical practice by working for many years in a private practice specialising in disordered eating and body image concerns.

Trauma

  • Stephanie has specialised training in working with people who are dealing with the affects of trauma, regardless of whether the trauma is the result of a single event or the longstanding effects of events experienced in childhood.  She helps clients restore balance to their lives so that they are no longer living with the confusing and complex after effects of trauma in their current lives.

Relationships

  • Many people benefit from discussing relationship issues with someone who is objective, who can help you reflect on the dynamics of your relationship. It can be an opportunity to examine any relationship patterns which might be preventing you from having the kind of relationship you want to have.

Workplace Difficulties

  • Stephanie’s previous experience in a Corporate Human Resources role means that she is in a unique position to understand and assist with workplace issues.

Grief and Bereavement

  • Dealing with grief and loss is often a painful and deeply personal process which can be difficult to share with others. Sometimes we can also get lost in grief and need some help to find our way through it.

Adjusting to changing circumstances

  • Life sometimes involves having to adjust to significant and/or unexpected life events like changes in our health or the health of a loved one, or changes in our relationships, finances or working life. Support and coping strategies can be helpful.

Emotion Regulation Difficulties

  • There are skills and strategies that can help you cope with emotions and distress, so that you don’t feel overwhelmed by them and resort to unhelpful coping strategies. When you are more able to regulate your emotions you will feel more in control of your life and more able to make better choices for your future.
